Betty L. Tuttle

Betty L. Shonk Tuttle, 80, of Hutsonville, died at 9:08 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at her home. She was born September 4, 1930 in Prairie Township, the daughter of James Edward Shonk and Goldie Bell Randolph Shonk. She was a member of the Grand Prairie Church and the Crawford County Saddle Club.She married Charles T. Tuttle, Jr. on September 5, 1948 and he joined her in death. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edward R. Shonk, Thomas C. Shonk; and her sister, Sarah Jane Guyer.She is survived by her son, Charles T. €œTom€ & Anita Tuttle, Bridgeport; one grandson, Matthew Tuttle, Downers Grove, IL; one granddaughter, Sharon E. Tuttle, Charleston, IL; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Martin & Ruth Shonk, Annapolis and Jacob & Karan Joan Shonk, rural Robinson; and several nieces and nephews. A joint funeral service with her husband will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with John Fyffe officiating. Burial will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Grand Prairie Church.
