Betty L. (Spond) Sprague

Betty L. (Spond) Sprague, 92, of Robinson, IL, passed away on April 16, 2022, in the comfort of her home. She was born September 15, 1929, in Mt. Carmel, IL, the daughter of William R. & Ilah (Beard) Spond. She was a 1947 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

She married John "Jack" Sprague on October 15, 1950, who preceded her in death on August 5, 2004. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Kay & Ron Sullivan (Robinson, IL) and Karen & Mick Laflin (Pittsfield, IL); by her grandchildren, John & Jeana Mahan, Anne & Shaun Tarran, and Logan Laflin; by her nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, by her brothers, Sereno, Cleo, and Haley Spond, and her sister, Jewel Showalter.

Betty was a member of the Highland Church of Christ, and she was a strong woman of faith.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22nd, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will immediately follow and be held at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Mick Laflin officiating. Burial will be in the Adams Corner Cemetery, rural Wabash County, IL, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the "N.O.W. Program" with envelopes available at the funeral home.
