Betty Jean Briner

Betty Jean Briner, 64, of Oblong, IL, died on April 19, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born on February 7, 1958, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Thomas Augustus Logsdon & Besse (Adcock) Logsdon. She grew up in Louisville and married at a young age. Her family soon moved to the area, where she began her career as a CNA and caregiver. A tireless worker, she was a staple at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, Miller's Convalescence Center in Robinson and Helia Healthcare in Olney. Never one to let dust settle, she cared for a number of area residents in the comfort of their homes, be that tending to their physical needs or cleaning their houses.

Throughout her 64 years, Betty made it evident that her heart beat for others. We are thankful for her selfless spirit, and will forever cherish the love we shared.

She is survived by her mother, Besse Logsdon (Louisville, KY); her sons, Anthony & Sandra Briner (West Union, IL) and Bryan Briner (Robinson, IL); by her granddaughters, Bridgett Briner, Katie Briner, Nina (Briner) York, Michael & Kayla York, Ashley Kloss and Veronica York; by her four great-grandchildren; by her sisters, Mary McKinney and Laura Oller (both of Louisville, KY); as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, and by her granddaughter, Madison Briner.

It was Betty's wish to be cremated, and private services will be held at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
