Betty Bailey

Betty Bailey, 53, of Robinson, died at 3:22 a.m. on February 28, 2011 at Crawford Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was born October 22, 1957 in Olney, the daughter of Dale Pope and Pansy Grove Pope. Betty was the Crawford County Supervisor of Assessment since 1985 and held offices with the Illinois Assessors Association. She was also active in the Junior Women€™s Club and attended Chaplin St. Church of Christ.She married Jim Bailey on November 25, 1978 and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Amanda Bailey, Indianapolis, IN; her mother, Pansy Pope, Robinson; her brother and sister-in-law, Tom & Val Pope, Sao Paulo, Brazil; her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patty & Don Plue, New Port Richey, FL and Martha & Steve Tolliver, Tolono, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Rev. Raymond Warfel is in charge of services. Burial is in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, March 2, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Relay for Life, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
