Bessie Alice Mccormick

Bessie Alice McCormick, 89 of Robinson, IL, died at her home on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 6:30 a.m. She was born July 20, 1919 in Oblong Township, the daughter of Henry Tracy and Tura Wiseman Tracy. She was a homemaker and had worked for over 10 years at Dorsey’s Nursery in Robinson. She was a member of the Day Spring Christian Fellowship Church. She married Arthur McCormick on November 19, 1943 and he preceded her in death on April 21. 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son Randy McCormick; 3 brothers, Ken, Bill, and Densel Tracy; and 2 sisters, Ethel Titus and Ollie Barnbrook.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Larry and Rozan McCormick, Robinson; 2 daughters and her son-in-law, Marjorie Osborn, Robinson and Sheryl and Dan Cleaves, Dyersburg, TN; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Pastor Rodney Burton is in charge of services. Burial is in the “Old” Robinson Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home Tuesday, July 14th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and until service time on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Day Spring Christian Fellowship Church and mailed to the church or left at the funeral home where envelopes will be provided.
