Bernard P Davison

Bernard P. Davison, 86, of Marshall died at 8:05 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Burnsides Nursing Home in Marshall. He was born June 18, 1925 in Melrose Township in Clark County IL, the son of Vern Ray Davison and Mary Jackson Davison. Bernard was a farmer, who worked hard all of his life. He was a member of the West Union First Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday school superintendant and as an executive board member for several years. He was also a member of the West Union Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the Order of the Eastern Star. He loved the outdoors, an avid hunter and fisherman.On August 15, 1948, Bernard married Rhea Jean Ogle and she survives. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Mike & Cathy Davison (Annapolis), Terri & Bill Reynolds (West Union), and Mark & Becky Davison (West Union); eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Laymon & Sharon Davison (Marshall); his sisters, Lucille Wernz (Robinson) and Leda & Dale Crumrin (West Union); as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Geneva Crumrin.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 17th at the West Union First Baptist Church, with Pastor Don Houdasheldt officiating. Burial will be in the Ohio Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16th at the church.
