Bea Ann Wilson

October 6, 1960 — May 26, 2022

Bea Ann Wilson, 61, of Stoy, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. She was born October 6, 1960, in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Wayne Taylor & Annie (Beard) Taylor, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Randy Scott Taylor.

She is survived by her children & their spouses, Steven "Button Buck" & Cheryl Osborn, Stephanie & Billy Carter, and (her precious favorite) Charles "Winkie" & Shawna Morrison; by her grandchildren, Nycole & Ethan Hose, Andrew Osborn, Nathan Osborn, Brooklann Carter, Olivia Chiasson, Will Carter, Archer Morrison, Beckleigh Morrison, and Emersyn Morrison; by her honorary grandkids, Isaiah Lamb and Arielle Simmers; by her brothers, Steve & wife Sandy Taylor and Charlie Taylor; by her special cousin, who was like a sister to her, Zinnia & her husband Jim Biggs; by her two best friends, Jill Parkhurst and Brenda Shipman; by her companion, Robert "Buck" Osborn; as well as many, many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bea Ann grew up alongside her cousins in the Robinson area, leading to deep, lifelong relationships that instilled in her a profound value for family. She would go on to work in many capacities for several local businesses over the years. It all started at the old egg plant in Hutsonville, where she worked alongside her aunts (and got into an egg fight or two!) She soon made her way to Tempco, where she was employed for a few years before working for DJs, where she would spend the next 13 years of her career, working her way up to the position of manager. Though she worked in a variety of other capacities, she was particularly proud to have owned and operated her own restaurant, the Highway Cafe in Oblong. The twilight years of her life found her cleaning houses for a number of area families, who would each eventually become an extension of her own family.

It was evident throughout her 61 years that Bea Ann was exceptionally family-driven. She was immensely proud of her children, and her grandchildren were each the apple of their grandma's eye. At Christmastime, her house was often so loaded with presents that you'd almost be unable to step foot inside! Her loved ones could each bear witness to the fact that Bea Ann knew how to have fun! She brought light and vibrancy into any room she entered, and her boisterous nature made life nothing if not interesting.

Her love of gambling was well-known, to the point that Bea Ann had a poker machine installed in her home! She was also passionate about softball for a time and even put together a team that rarely, if ever, won. But it wasn't about winning; it was about enjoying the experience. The same could be said about her 61 years. She didn't always have the best of everything, but she made the best of everything that came her way. However, once Bea Ann entrusted her life to Jesus, she found that she had everything she could ever need. We find peace knowing that on Thursday, she found herself safe and sound in the arms of her Savior. Until we meet again!
