Anna Belle Williams, 87, of Willow Hill, IL, died at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL. She was born July 5, 1931 in Tennessee, the daughter of Clarence Holley & Sally Durden, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Wilburn Holley and Hobert Holley; by her son, Michael Wright; by her daughters, Shirley Ann Chapman, Dale Staley; as well as two grandchildren. She is survived by five sons, Larry Palmer (Oblong, IL), Bill Wright (Willow Hill, IL), Charlie Wright & Leo Flores (Altamont, IL), Steve Williams (Willow Hill, IL), and Lonnie & Penny Williams (Stewardson, IL); by two daughters, (Willow Hill, IL), Mary Newell & Dean Malone (Dennison, IL), and Karen Priest (Willow Hill, IL); by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; by her sister, Judy Richards (Como, TN); as well as several nieces and nephews. Anna grew up in Tennessee before moving up to Illinois in the mid-1950s. She dedicated her life to providing a home for her ten children, each the light of her world. As her children grew and had families of their own, her grandchildren quickly became the greatest joy of her life. As she grew older, much of her free time was spent outside, be that in her garden or mowing her yard. Anna Belle will be remembered as a fiercely independent woman whose love of family will live on as her legacy for generations to come. In the nursing home, her grandson, Dustin Williams was a source of constant support for Anna Belle, and her daughter-in-law, Penny went above and beyond to care for her in her final days. Her family is incredibly grateful for their care and concern. A private family graveside service will be held in the Brockville Cemetery (rural Newton, IL). The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
