Almeda L. Mcdaniel

Almeda L. McDaniel, 91 of Palestine, IL, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, April 05, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born February 3, 1917 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Harry W. Miner and Gladys Brush Miner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Palestine First Christian Church.She married Carroll C. McDaniel on January 1, 1938 and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1994. She was also preceded by her parents; her son, Larry C. McDaniel; 3 brothers, Charles, Ray and Donald Miner; 2 sisters, Clancie Brashears and Isabell Miner.She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Wilma McDaniel, Palestine, Tim and Linda McDaniel, Palestine; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and George Fulling, Palestine, and Cinda and Kenneth Nelson, Palestine; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Pauline Miner, Robinson; a brother-in-law, Clay McDaniel, Bloomington; and her sister-in-law, Lillierose Myers, Palestine; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 7th and until service time on Tuesday. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Township Library, with envelopes at the funeral home.
