Alice Marie Watts, 87 of Robinson, IL, died around 10:00 a.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born October 17, 1920 in Hutsonville, IL, the daughter of Lyman L. Lowe and Rachel E. Taylor Lowe. She graduated from Hutsonville High School in the class of 1938, was a member of the Porterville Congregational Christian Church, and was an avid semi-precious and precious rock collector with her husband. She worked in the Marathon Cafeteria and as a custodian at Marathon for over 30 years.Alice married James F. Watts on June 11, 1955 and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Linder and Allie Lowe and her special uncle Paul Lowe who all raised Alice. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ella Dean Medsker.Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Vern Stallings, Robinson and Sue and Max Musgrave, Oblong; her step daughter and her husband, Ruth and Ed. Kinchen, rural Porterville; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Dr. Shawn Bailey, Eric and Kelly Bailey, Doug and Cindy Hawkins, Jamie and Andy McReynolds, Jason Geiger, Debbie and Larry Dix, Karen Schulz and her fianc David, and Kim Garrard; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and close friends, Mildred Powden and Esther Skidmore.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3rd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Rev. Leland Culp is in charge of services with burial in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, September 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with memorials to the Porterville Christian Church.
