Aden Keith Crampton

Aden “Keith” Crampton, 86, of Robinson, IL, died at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, IL. He was born September 21, 1922 in Hunt City Township, Jasper County, IL, the son of Orlin Crampton and Vera Bailey Crampton. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the French Freedom Medal. He was maintenance engineer for the Crawford County Courthouse for 13 years. He was a lifelong Deacon of the Hebron Road Church of Christ and a member of the LaMotte Rangers.He married Hazel Margaret Crozier May 11, 1950 and she preceded him in death August 17, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents.He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Mary Crampton, Riverside, CA; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Phil Young and Brother Bill Greenwood officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday preceding the services.
