Lucille Dunlap

Lucille Dunlap, 85, of Robinson, IL, died at 10:01 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born May 10, 1931 in Birds, IL, the daughter of Dewey Snider & Annie (Parker) Snider, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Robert E. Dunlap on November 23, 1950 and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her son, Darrell Wayne Dunlap; by her son-in-law, John Hampton; by her daughter-in-law, Ginger Dunlap; and by two brothers, Ralph Snider and Harold Snider. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Donna Sue Hampton (Bridgeport, IL), Brenda Kay & Roger Creed (Sullivan, IN), and Ron & Kelly Dunlap (Robinson, IL); eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; by her sister & brother-in-law, Dorothy & Jim Dunlap (Douglas, KS); by her brother, George Snider (Robinson, IL); by her brothers-in-law, Richard & Nancy Dunlap (Robinson, IL) and Clifford Dunlap (Robinson, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. Lucille was a 1950 graduate of Robinson High School. She went on to work in the office and then production for L.S. Heath & Sons for over 10 years. She then went to work for Ettelbrick Shoe Factory before moving on to Victor Dana, where she worked for 18 years before retiring in May 10, 1996. Away from work, she could be found watching her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. In recent years, she loved playing Bingo, and this was a great source of joy in her life. She was a lifelong and active member of the Canaan Primitive Baptist Church. Lucille will long be remembered as a hard worker and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She will be forever missed. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow and will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jones Cemetery, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
