L. Duyane Ragon

Lowal Duyane Ragon, 73, of Robinson, IL, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. Dyane was born July 12, 1933 in Sikeston, MO. He was the son of Lowal Ragon and Beulah Crandall Ragon.Following graduation from Cumberland County High School, he served two years in the United States Army. He graduated from the Illinois State Police Academy in 1958, and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1987. He married Lois Keller February 5, 1958. She precedes him in death.Duyane was an administrator for the Lincoln Trail College Foundation for several years and was a member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church.On August 27, 2000 Duyane married Geneva “Ginny” Freeman who survives him. He is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nathan and Debra Mills, Plainfield, IN; son, David Ragon, Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Dayl Ann Ragon, Denver, CO; and 3 grandsons, Drew Griffin, Brian Griffin, and Nathan Mills, Jr.A memorial service will be held at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church on Saturday, March 17 at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Lincoln Trail College Athletic Department or the Robinson Public Library District. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
