Jason Correll

April 18, 1975 — July 21, 2013

In the early morning of July 21, 2013, Jason Correll left this earth to be with his Lord for life eternal in heaven.Jason was born April 18, 1975, the son of Georgia (Wilber) and Bob Correll who survive. He leaves two daughters, Jenna and Grace, who were the light in his life. Also surviving are two brothers, Jerry McKimmy and David Woods. He leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family meant a lot to Jason.Jason was always busy. He made every minute of the day count. At the age of 13, he rode his 3-wheeler 4 miles to find a summer job with a local farmer. He was told €œNo, I€™ve had experience with kids. They don€™t want to work, they just want a paycheck.€ Jason€™s response was €œI€™ll make a deal with you. I€™ll work for one week; if you€™re not satisfied, I€™ll leave and you don€™t have to pay me.€ End of the week, he got the job and stayed for over 2 years. He saved his money and bought his first car; a 64 Mustang. He restored it and was so proud of it. He still wasn€™t old enough to drive, but he could drive those big John Deere tractors and combines. At 16, he got a summer job with a building contractor. He proved once again what a hard worker he was. He was a perfectionist too. Whatever he worked on, it had to be done right and squared up. He worked with the contractor for about 2 years. But he wanted to work as a mechanic and after school he got his mechanic job. After 8 years of that, and now having a family, his thoughts were of long term benefits and job security in the future. It didn€™t take Jason long to get his job at Toyota in Princeton. He was there for over 10 years. He worked with a team that he cared for, and they in turn had nothing but praises for him.Jason was a wonderful father. He always made time for Jenna and Grace. Many times they€™d go into the shop at home, where Daddy was working; maybe on somebody€™s car, a lawn mower, or even a tractor. They€™d want Daddy to come and throw the ball to them or watch them on the trampoline-whatever it was, Jason stopped work to play with his girls. He€™d take them fishing, mushroom hunting, building a snowman or even 4-wheel riding, he always had time for them.Every day that comes, Jason will be whole-heartedly missed.Private services were performed by Pastor Jane Drake on July 27, 2013 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, IL.
