Jane Ann Morrison

Jane Ann Morrison, 71, of West York, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2014 due to multiple myeloma at the Magnolia Center in Robinson. She was born September 24th, 1943 in Robinson, the daughter of Lamar McCrory & Dorothy Thompson McCrory. She was a 1961 graduate of Hutsonville High School. She was a secretary for Weber Insurance and Realty, where she retired in 2004 after 41 years of service. She also worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance. She was a member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church and a former member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a member of the Esther Quilting Circle, Sam’s 75 RV Club, and the Canasta Club. She was an election judge for Prairie Township. She was a former piano teacher and former leader of the Eureka 4-H Club. Jane Ann married Charles Morrison on February 24th, 1962 and he survives. She is also survived by her children & their spouses, Lori & David Johnson (Florissant, MO), Randy Morrison (West York, IL), Ken & Kristen Morrison (West York, IL), and Kevin & Tammy Morrison (West York, IL); eight grandchildren, Leeanna Johnson, Allyssa Johnson, Charles Morrison, Laci Hardin, Haley Morrison, Grayson Morrison, and Toby Morrison and Carsten Morrison; one great grandson Brenden Johnson, mother in law Betty Morrison of Vincennes, IN, brother and sister in law Tom and Kathleen Martin of Vincennes IN, Terry and Glenda Morrison of Palestine; cousins Linda Dix of Hutsonville, Dorothy and Bob McColly of Robinson, Sarah Myles of St. Charles MO, Butch and Judy Myles of Hutsonville and Mary and Wayne Dix of Annapolis; and family friend, Sara Ruprecht. She was preceded in death by her parents; father in law Edward Morrison, and cousin Don Myles. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, October 30th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union. Burial will follow in the York Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday October 29th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Magnolia Center Long Term Care at Crawford Memorial Hospital or the Hutsonville High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
