Elbert E. Miller

Elbert E. Miller, 91 of Annapolis, IL died at 3:52 a.m. on March 27, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born November 1, 1922 in Melrose Township, IL, the son of Ted Miller & Beulah Tharp Miller. Elbert was a farmer all his life, and was a member of the Crawford County Farm Bureau. He also attended the Olive Branch Baptist Church and was active in the Half-Fast Square Dance Club. Elbert married Vivian Lenore Evans on February 11, 1946, and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2008. He is also preceded in death by his parents and his step-sister, Ann Woods. He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Stanley J. & Mindy Miller (Annapolis, IL); his two daughters & sons-in-law, Sandra & Jerry Culler (West York, IL) and Sharon & Steve Smith (Diamond, IL); seven granddaughters; one grandson; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; his step-sister, Carolyn Chapman; six brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30th at the Prust Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, IL with Brother Randy Nave to officiate the service. Burial will follow in Plymouth Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Olive Branch Baptist Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
