Douglas E. Davis

Douglas E. Davis, 70 of Casa Grande, AZ, formerly of Robinson and Olney, IL, died unexpectedly at his home August 22, 2014. He was born May 15, 1944 in Highland, IL, the son of Peyton Davis and Lella Reggin Davis. Following high school, he worked for Ozark Airlines until 1967 as a ticket agent. He started Monicals Pizza in Robinson in 1969 and later opened a Monicals restaurant in Olney. He was active in the Olney Jaycees and became a District Director for that organization. He started the Jaycees in Neoga. He later moved to Casa Grande after his retirement. He is survived by his daughter, Tara Lynn Davis, Springfield; 2 sisters, Linda Y. Davis, Oblong and Donna L. Davis, Robinson; his brother, Rolland (Pete) Davis and his wife, Diane, Oblong; his fianc, Carla Zeller, Casa Grande, AZ; a nephew, Michael Davis and his great nephew, Noah Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August, 28th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL. Pastors Butch Woods and Shane Bopp will be in charge. Visitation is from noon Thursday until service time at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the M. S. Foundation and left at the funeral home.
