Cathy Lee Palmer

Cathy Lee Palmer, 60 of Oblong, IL went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 1:25 a.m. at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois after a long battle with lung disease. She was born November 3, 1952 in Chicago, the daughter of Wildie €œBill€ Gaston and Mable Farris. She had been employed for over twenty years with E.H. Moore, Newton as a seamstress and line leader. She also worked many part time jobs over the years, making many friends along the way.Cathy married Larry James Palmer, March 4, 1971 and he survives. She is also survived by her son David James Palmer, Oblong and daughter Tricia €œPalmer€ Adams, Oblong; her brother and sister-in-law Ed and Joyce Farris, Cedar Lake, Indiana; a sister and brother-in-law Sue and Tom Majors, Griffith, Indiana; and five grandchildren, McKenna and Callie Meadows, Leonidas Palmer, Macie and Carson Adams, all of Oblong; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Mary Beth €œFarris€ Chapman. A celebration of life is to be announced at a later date.
