Brice LeRoy Butcher, 49, of rural Flat Rock, IL, died at 5:35 a.m. (E.S.T.) Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN. He was born August 7, 1963 the son of Max Butcher and Dorothy Purcell Butcher. He was a plumber/pipefitter and belonged to the Plumbers/Steamfitters Local #136, Evansville, IN. Brice was a member of the South Union Church, Flat Rock Masonic Lodge #348, and the Danville Scottish Rite. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. Brice was also a hunter and a Sunday school teacher, teaching high schoolers and children€™s church. He was a member of the Montgomery Township Board.Brice married Lori Wait on March 2, 1985 and she survives. He is also survived by his parents, Max and Dorothy Butcher (Flat Rock); his daughters, Miranda Butcher (Robinson) and Mariah Butcher (Flat Rock); his sons and his daughter-in-law, Joshua and Jessica Butcher (Lawrenceville) and Levi Butcher (Flat Rock); his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Gary McKee (Myrtle Beach, SC) and Tina and Danny Dennis (Flat Rock); his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Beth Butcher (Vero Beach, FL) and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Jeff Monroney officiating. Burial will be in the Tohill Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted by the Flat Rock Masonic Lodge #348 at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10th after visitation at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to the Mariah and Levi Butcher College Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
