Betty Lou Schernekau

Betty Lou Schernekau, 84 of Robinson, IL, died at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center in Robinson. She was born August 4, 1926 in Robinson, the daughter of Joseph Ralph Price and Vada May Field. She was a homemaker, attended Lockyear Business College in Evansville, IN, was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and attended Dogwood United Methodist Church.Betty married Leonard Schernekau on August 18, 1946 and he survives. She is also survived by her two sons, Lenny and his wife, Marcy (Price), Robinson and Joe Schernekau, also of Robinson; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Schernekau, Robinson; her grandchildren, Jessy Schernekau, Robinson, Regie Schernekau, Mt. Vernon, and Tonya and her husband Mike Ballard, Las Vegas, NV; and her step-grandchildren, Morgan Price, Keith Price, Chantel Price, Ian Price, and Alysha Price. She is also survived by her 7 great-grandchildren: Jessy€™s children, Morgan Turner, Jordan Schernekau, Brandon Schernekau, and Tana Schernekau, all of Robinson, Reggie€™s children, Seyan and Eli Schernekau, all of Las Vegas; Tonya€™s children, Joselynn Ballard, Las Vegas, NV; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jack Kaley, Bement, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Barbara Lynn Schernekau.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September, 2nd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Her nephew, Dr. Mike Kaley will officiate. Burial is in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL. Visitation is Wednesday, September 1st from 4:00 p. m. to 7:00 p.m, and from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday morning until service time at 11:00 a.m.
